Teaching Assistant - Level 2, Term Time Only Grade 2, Point 3 – 8

£18,065 to £19,945 pro rata £13,880/annum £9.75/hour 36.5 hours/week

Immediate start until December 31st 2020, in the first instance.

We are currently looking to appoint a confident Teaching Assistant to join a large, supportive Inclusion team working mainly with students who have SEN. You will also be required to undertake pre and after school interventions on a one to one/small group basis.

Hours: Monday to Thursday 8.30 to 4.30 and Friday 8.30 to 3.00

This post is covered by Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) and therefore the ability to speak fluent and spoken English is an essential requirement for this role.

Out of hours/Receptionist/Maintenance Person (Maternity Cover)

Part-time, 28.5 hours a week, £9.50/hour (Working evenings and weekends)

At Bordesley Green Girl’s School and Sixth Form we open our site to a wide range of local/community sports teams and educational groups.

The overall purpose of this role is to supervise groups whilst they are on site; maintaining high standards of cleanliness and security and providing excellent customer service to all lettings clients.

Main duties will include: Reception duties, customer service/booking enquiries, accessing the online bookings diary, cleaning duties and security of the school site. Lone working is a requirement of the post and applicants should be confident enough to take responsibility for locking up the site at the end of each shift.

Current shift pattern:

Monday Wednesday Thursday Friday Saturday

17:00 to 22:15 17:00 to 22:00 17:00 to 21:45 17:30 to 22:00 08:30 to 18:00 with 30 min unpaid break at 14:00

Our preference is to appoint an applicant who can cover all these shifts, however if you wish to apply for only some of the shifts, we may be able to off a job-share IF we can appoint someone else to the other shifts. Please clearly indicate on your application form which shift(s) you are applying for.

Lunchtime Supervisor (2 posts)

£9.50/HOUR  Part-time, Term Time Only, Permanent Immediate Start

We wish to appoint two reliable and flexible people to join our experienced team of Lunchtime Supervisors. You should have good communication skills and be able to converse confidently with students, staff and parents. Previous experience of working with students within an educational setting would be preferred.

On a daily basis, you will be assigned to one of the many duties, which will include walking around the school site, being responsible for supervising students during their lunchtime break and for undertaking some additional duties before and/or after lunchtime service.

Successful candidates will be expected to attend All Staff Training Days (5/year) outside of their normal working hours.
