  • Friday 25 September 2020 Letter about expanded online lesson provision We have recently increased our provision of online lessons to enable learning to continue if any year group bubble is asked to self-isolate for 14 days. Classes will continue to operate online during this period at the scheduled time on your daughters’ timetable.

  • Wednesday 23 September 2020 Online learning for self-isolating students Throughout the year, students all have access to Firefly, the school's Virtual Learning Environment, where tasks set for completion and can be handed in and marked electronically. When Year Group "bubbles" are self isolating, many staff offer online lessons using Microsoft Teams. A self help guide to using Microsoft Teams and a guide to Firefly are available by clicking the link.

  • Thursday 10 September 2020 The Psychology Curriculum at BGGS If you are fascinated by how the brain works and why people think and behave the way they do, then psychology is the course for you! Studying psychology will allow you to think about information in a variety of ways, including thinking about how it is relevant to your life and experiences. This will enable you to gain an awareness of important issues such as mental health which will give you the ability to understand your own needs as well as others.

  • Tuesday 25 August 2020 Year group bubbles To keep everyone safe at school and to reduce the risk of spreading COVID19, we are implementing a 'bubble' system in September. Each Form Group will be allocated a base classroom. Each Year group will have a designated to an outdoor space.  All areas to be marked out and labelled.  Click here for details.

Our mission is for lifelong learning, where students experience enjoyment and are empowered to sustain a healthy and active lifestyle. We provide a sequential Physical Education programme.

  • Thursday 9 July 2020 The Music Curriculum at BGGS Music is about developing skills, working together and joyful participation. When students learn how to work with their audience, with each other and by themselves, then music can activate transferable skills that go on to inform and unlock potential in all other disciplines. Through performing and composing, through singing and learning an instrument, all students can access the aliveness that comes from performing with enthusiasm and commitment.
